Julie Cramer
Wedding Quilt, Christmas Pine,
Trees,Bowtie Quilt
Julie says, of her quilts:
I read an article in a quilting magizine about seminole
quilt patterns, and decided to try it for myself. I made this quilt for my mother's
wedding last year. I used 5 strips of Seminole patterns, four of them my own design,
of blooming flowers, climbing vines, and interlocking wedding rings. The colors are
yellow, green, blue, rose pink, and white and I used fabrics with the same pattern in
different colors. Machine pieced, and quilted with the stitch-in-the-ditch method.
I found seminole quilting to be easy and creative. It is easy to work
with relatively small pieces, and your friends are really impressed with all those
3/4" squares.

Bowtie Quilt

The red, white, and black quilt is the "bow tie"
pattern with latticing, and was recently sent off as a gift for my son's godfather and his
family.
Christmas Pine Trees

This green and red quilt is a Christmas quilt done in the
pine trees pattern as a table centerpiece, and is the first quilt that I ever did for
myself!
Thanks for sharing your quilts, Julie.
We truly enjoyed them!
